Takeout and Dining-at-Home Recommendations From Eater Atlanta

Prix fixe takeout for two paired with local beer in Summerhill

A combo that we will do again is a prix fixe dinner for two for takeout from Little Bear and a six pack from Halfway Crooks Beer in Summerhill. Chef Jarrett Stieber is following the trail of the novel coronavirus, and creating his meals based on cuisines from countries like China and Italy. With two calls in the morning, I was able to reserve and pay for our meal at Little Bear and the beer from Halfway Crooks. We were pleasantly surprised at the level of cleanliness and attention to detail at these two Summerhill spots. First, we stood in line six feet apart (marked by lines on the floor) at Halfway Crooks. Since we had already paid over the phone, no contact was made when we picked up. They dunked our six packs in a large bucket with sanitizing solution, and off we went. Then, we headed to Little Bear to grab our food. Pick up went even faster. We arrived home less than ten minutes later, enjoying a rockstar Chinese-inspired meal from Jarrett paired with local beer. The tofu with beets was so delicious, as was the pork belly. It was enough for two people. An easy way to support local spots, and still have a glorious meal from the comfort of our couch.
