The Summerhill barbecue restaurant opened inside a 1930s building along Georgia Avenue in 2010. The menu includes smoked meats by the pound, barbecue sandwiches, brisket tacos, and smoked sausage hot dogs, along with sides like potato salad, mac and cheese, and beet and jalapeño slaw. Wood’s Chapel debuted its to-go window last summer — a pandemic pivot likely to stay post-health crisis — and now offers even more seating on its sunny, open-air patio. Order at the counter inside or at the takeout window located on the side of the building on the patio. Masks required.
