When chef Jarrett Stieber opened Little Bear in Summerhill at the end of February 2020, the coronavirus had yet to reach global pandemic status. Just three weeks later as COVID-19 began spreading throughout Georgia, Stieber closed the restaurant and pivoted to takeout. Little Bear continues to do a brisk takeout business, which includes cocktails. But look for the restaurant to reopen for dine-in service on May 5. Until then, drinks can be enjoyed at tables in front of the restaurant or at communal seating and tables scattered in parking lots and patios along Georgia Avenue. Order online for pick-up. Opening May 5 for limited indoor dining. Masks required.
